Learning Korean - Resources

Just a Korean IME. it's not like jap tho where u can type in romaji and it comes up in Korean, you have to get used to an entirely new keyboard layout f the Korean keyboard. It's not so bad actually and I'd recommend u take the plunge and learn to type in Korean. It took me a day or two to memorize where verything was on the keyboard. There's kinda no way around it.

HMM it's useful/interesting.

I think by the time you get to ep 60 you can just branch out and watch whatever the hell you want ie dramas/movies which i linked to sites that have korean scripts to... so go do that!

Has zkorean been mentioned yet? It's a pretty good online dictionary. Course, it doesn't convert conjugations back to dictionary form.

isn't yahoo.co.kr or naver better anyway?

anyways this site conjugates korean verbs. it's not 100% corrrect but it's like 90 something. i think it has other language conjugations too.

Anyone know of any free downloadable korean-korean monoligualr dictionaries.

Cause lingoes is nice cause you don't need the internet and you just use it but it doesn't have k-k

Korean Grammar thing
http://www.koreangrammaticalforms.com/
I like the way it's organized.

google chrome add-on. pop-updictionary
http://jeanneskorean.wordpress.com/2011 … omment-100

hurrah! so since it has naver and daum you can choose 국어
as well as 일본어 . So I think I feel more obligated to go monolingual nows!

Compared to lingoes it's smarter in that you don't have to remove the particle (spac eout the word so it's isolated from particles ) to look up the word by doubleclicking/mouse over.

And this blog entry was from JULY of last year so wow.

learn with korean news!
http://hangukdrama.wordpress.com/2012/0 … -sbs-news/

I asked this question before and nobody answered but I found this blog!
The site is a little laggy with loading the video so i would pause the video, wait a minute or two and then play it. if you were rewind or rewatch it, it has to reload so those are the drawbacks.

They have video lessons on Korean in English, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese.
If a person's Japanese level was high enough, they could get in some Japanese immersion and learn Korean at the same time. Win-win!

Two Korean-English dictionaries in plain text format: KEDICT (freeware; so rare, you can't find it on the internet no more) and a StarDict dictionary converted into plain text (freeware? commercial?). Also included is my custom version of KEDICT (each entry on a separate line, stripped hanja, ...), and a merged file with entries that were in one but not the other dictionary):

use to type hangul words to input into Anki.
you use the korean keyboard on windows... you should be able to install it in control panel, it's VERY easy to memorize consonants on the left vowels on the right. ebay has keyboard stickers if you want to go that route "I did for a long time".

I posted a link about noticing patterns of kanji readings to hanja readings (THIS. I found another site talking about it. It has more details like probability lol and whatnot so i wanted to share!

I don't think they mentioend 約35%の確率で、【ㅗ>ㅜ>ㅛ>ㅠ】のいずれかに、ほぼ対応する。(>の左側の方ほど出現頻度が高い on the other site

they also linked http://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/...1458852069 in the answer.

anything to make remembering/learning easier and taking full advantage of my kickass (hopefully) Japanese skills Smile

For me I'll try to remember the top 2 or 3 in order for the ones that go > > > lol. For the other stuff I think I already read about on the other site.

and recently I found this useful twitter!
