Use Browser for Multiple Dictionary Lookup with Split in Firefox

#1
Hi Guys!

I was not sure of a good topic but basically:

I was wondering: Do you guys know of any firefox scripts or greasemonkey plugins that let me search 2 dictionaries at the same time and display the results in a split screen so that I can read/copy them simultaneously?

I currently use: Sanseido and Goo together for J-J meanings and examples but... i have to copy and paste my target vocabulary word and paste into 2 browser windows and copy the results, so it is time consuming.

I was hoping you guys knew of a script like importable in greasemonkey that could simultaneously search both web dictionaries and display the results in a split window?

Thank you so much for your guidance!!!!!

Have you tried Translation Aggregator? http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread...395&page=1

I ramble a bit about it here: http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?p...3#pid97273

You also might want to look into a Firefox extension called FloatFox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/134975/

Then there's this split screen add-on for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4287/ - You could probably integrate this with tricks we discussed in the "Cool dictionaries" thread.

Very cool tool. Thanks for sharing.

I gave up and wrote a .bat file that runs firefox + searchengineUrl_$Kanji/Word for each engine I need.

It works quite well for now Smile
