Well, almost 2 years ago I got all the way through the book RTK1 but a couple days later had a temporary stop to my studies. Since I blasted through so fast I had 1300 overdue reviews. I never recovered.
I was only 1/4 into JFE ( I had done another 2 book elementary course from my university that I felt was FAR too bare bones ) and I had been toying with smart.fm and anki as well.
After almost 2 years off I got hit by a car ( 2 months ago ) required hip surgery and now I'm stuck at home not working for a while.
The first month I was on too much pain to do anything too useful, now I need to fill my time with something I can do while sitting around. In the last month I've gone through the first 7.5 lessons of JFE catching back up to where I had gotten to previously. I am doing this very systematically, writing out every exercise, refering to DOBJG where needed, doing vocab flashcards, doing all audio exercises. I am only 750 kanji into my second round of RTK ( did lesson 23, 130 kanji today ) and am picking up the pace now. It's VERY easy the second time through.
Smart.fm I have pretty well finished core2k steps 1 and 2 and are throwing them into anki now. All my anki sentence reviews get written out as well as all of my kanji reviews. I have a sentence review book, an RTK kanji review book, and a JFE exercise book
I am doing the remaining steps of core2k at a slower pace and will start doing ko2001 alongside it as well, even if it's slowly.
Now I just need to get this to a manageable daily review total so that once I am back to work I can keep up.
Any tips ideas suggestions welcome, but wish me luck
