N2 to N1 - Study Plan

#1
No rest for the wicked...after having finished N2, I'm taking some time
off studying Japanese- to plan my study for N1!

I was thinking of doing either KO2001 or Kanji in Context all the way
through to really consolidate my kanji and reading knowledge so question
1 is- which is better, K02001 or KiC?

Secondly, if my goal is N1 next December, does anyone have some advice on
making that step up? For N2 I used the Green Kanzen Master grammar
book (v. good) and the UNICOM vocab book (ok)

I'm torn between sticking with Kanzen, going for the MATOMESO
series (which seem to get very good reviews), or trying a specifically
designed N1 book (see link). Any advice on which to go for?

To recap:

1. Which do people find better, KO2001 or KiC?

2. Which do people find better,

Kanzen Series

Matomeso Series or

Specific N1 series

For N2 I first went through the 2 KO2001 books, then went on with Kanji in Context. Kanji in Context is much harder than KO, but I think it doesn't hurt to go through both books.

I'm preparing for N1 now, too.
Vocabulary and Kanji should be okay already, so I will focus on grammar first using the yellow Kanzen Master grammar book.

Once that is done, I focus on reading practice because that's what I failed (probably) in this year's N2 test.
