Something about N3 seems intimidating though, and I don't like it one bit.N3 is the real step up i think. N5 is pretty basic, and N4 rounds out the beginner level. N3 is where the sheer amount of vocab etc you have to know starts getting noticeable imho. N2 is really just more of the same (as is N1 imho, although i'm not there yet). It takes time to learn all the vocab and grammar required, etc but by that point you're in a groove and pretty used to that sort of thing.
