Japanese electronica and it's soundwaves of beauty

#26
I don't know any Japanese ones.

Just tune your speaker volume up Big Grin and make sure that you have Big heavy speakers
You're gonna be surfin' the soundwaves anywayBig Grin
With electronica the speakers and volume level is very important imo.

It's not Japanese (it's from your country Tongue ), but it's Really good and gets quite heavy in the end.

@CarolinaCG I've tried listening to Perfume but I can't help feeling their voices are too high and squeaky Sad

What about Hirasawa Susumu? Is he electronica?

I never know how to classify music (I'm always scared I'll be scathingly corrected...) but it seems like the kind of thing I enjoy. Tongue

Me too! I'm always worried people will look down on me for my lack of knowledge on musical genres Sad

The ambient soft stuff actually makes me feel depressed (or reminds me of some depressing music I used to listen to). Anyway, I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but most of what I listen to is a bit more mainstream with lots of vocals (I think most of these artists are fairly well known).

saori@destiny - "I Can't"

SAWA - "Swimming Dancing"
http://youtu.be/QQOtYZSuOb4

Suzuki Ami - "One"

MEG - "SUPERSONIC"

Mizca - キラキラ☆

For people who don't like the sound of Perfume, you probably won't like any of those.

I'm glad this got bumped, because I didn't even know it was here. Now I've got some more Japanese artists to check out.

Here's some harder stuff, some more than others (and Touhou remixers, too), since that's mostly what I listen to, it seems:

DJ Sharpnel

REDALiCE

Masayoshi Minoshima

RoughSketch

Syrufit

隣人

ELEMENTAS

t+pazolite

USAO

Whoah, these guys are great. Not much Japanese vocals going on, but then again, most of the stuff in this thread don't have a lot of vocals. Big Grin

That's not even the kind of music I normally go for, either, but I'm loving it.

Anyone know any Japanese electronica similar to this? chillwave

Quote:So what exactly is, ahem, chillwave? At its core, it is melodic, blissful electronic grooves influenced by 1980s synth pop and shoegaze. Often self-recorded on laptops, the use of different effects and filters add a lo-fi, psychedelic edge to the songs. The mellow dance tracks are suited well for sunny afternoons spent reminiscing.

hmmm... actually i think MSK & 80kidz are the closest. i'm not sure i know any others like that really, but if i come across any, i'll let you know Smile

here's some that are quite adrenaliny anyway...

capsule, beastie boys, & daft punk mashup!!:

(orignal capsule song:
)

the samos:

have you heard the brookes brothers remix of shinichi osawa's version of the chemical brother's star guitar? this might count...

(here's shinichi osawa's original version...
)

(you could also check out shinichi osawa's other stuff, he does a variety of stuff... i dunno, i find a lot of it a little repetetive, but, i like the poppy "our song"! [not really adrenaliny in that way though]
)
