So, I watched most of the video and I still can't figure out if it's male or female. Both? Probably neither.

I think she's a good representative Smile

My eyes just burned out of my head.

...despite the fact I go to anime conventions sometimes, I had forgotten these kinds of people existed. x____x Either that, or I was blocking them out as a survival method...

I think nothing beats this. Exacerbated by the fact that the creators insist that they are actually Japanese.

Too bad one can't un-see what has been seen...

"A DAY OF MY LIFE~ Just to tell you, this video was taken a bit ago and now from a horrible experience, I DO NOT GO TO ANIME CONS ANYMORE. T___T"

I couldn't imagine why something may have happened to this wonderfully spirited individual Sad

Dear God, I hope I don't seem like that to people who don't know me well. Never will I walk about talking about how kawaii things are, but if the topic comes up I'm not exactly shy about having attended conventions/having an interest in Japanese language and culture. Ugh, maybe I should stop being so open about these things.

And I have never seen a Youtube video with such an overwhelming amount of dislikes vs. likes.

I actually stopped caring about what other people's motivations are.

When I was a teenager, I would LOL at fanboys/fangirls and Japanese posers, but nowadays? They should do as they like, whatever makes them happy, it's not like they're harming other people. It has no influence on me or on what I do.

I always see people in language class carrying an elitist attitude. "Pshh, you're only here because you like Anime and Manga? I'm into the culture, like I'm supposed to." Why should I make people ashamed for liking what they like? Why do I have to make myself feel better because my motivation is different?

Anyway, anime conventions are fun, and I don't even like anime that much anymore. People are so open and friendly (and possibly intoxicated and sexy) and it's a great social event. Once you get over the feelings of "I'm so much better than these nerds" or "GOD THESE PEOPLE ARE WEIRD" then you can have a great time. Sure, there's people like in that video, or there are people that think they have a free pass to be annoying and attention-whoring because they're at an anime convention, but you don't have to hang out with those people.

I don't even know why I went off on this tangent.
Heck, it almost has nothing to do with the person I quoted. Oh well.

The niconico version includes subtitles:

(0:47) Such a 怖い morning!
(5:40) [comments] お上手ですね
(7:38) キッス強いて
(7:42) これは数奇
(7:47) ハッチまでして
(8:20) きゃあああああ!

I feel sure that must be satire (in the vein of Christwire).

Thanks Kainzero for not being caught up in this childishness.

Everyone else who is making fun of this person, WTF. Are you all middle schoolers? I can understand why you may find her odd, she is by most people's standards, but still, why make fun of her? And yes, it is a her. Why question her sex? When you do that you reinforce this kind of beauty > ugly dichotomy.

All you out there who like anime/manga, maybe been to a convention, play video games, etc, AND who made fun of her I can safely say that you are fooling yourselves into thinking that you are somehow not like her. By the very standards that you judge her, I can safely say that other people are judging you and probably think you are just like her. So why are you doing it? Why make fun of someone for anything really? Are you tired of people making fun of you? Does internet anonymity make you feel justified of making fun of her? I just don't really get it. Would you really go up to her and say "Is this a joke? Are you male or female? Which one you ***** loser?" No you wouldn't! Stop.

If this is satire then I say shame shame on the person who made this for all the reasons listed above.

I'm pretty sure that the video is an attempt at comedy/satire (the chopstick scene makes it obvious).

People are making fun of her because she's quite obviously trolling.

You made me waste 10 minutes of my life. I hate you.

You're NOT kawaii.

I threw away ten minutes of my life reading about the time wasted watching that video, though I did not watch it myself.
Does that bring me back to post #2?
