Print books from aozora

#1
Hi, forum.

(First post of a long time lurker.)
Does anyone know of a nice way to format the books from aozora? I would like to get some pretty pdfs and print them, with ruby (furigana) and everything. I guess it should be doable in LaTeX, but before I embark in such a project, I was wondering if anyone has already done such a thing and maybe could share.

I know there is a place somewhere on aozora where you can get nicely formated pdfs, but they are meant for printing on A5 paper.

TIA

I don't know about pdfs, but Internet Explorer supports the ruby.

Thanks, I can read them fine in Firefox, but I want a pretty format suited for paper.

Hmm, I wish you could print from Smoopy or one of the other Aozora Bunko text readers but I haven't found a way to.

Do you not have MS Word? You can make it 'pretty' there--fonts & formatting, vertical text, ruby, etc.

Thanks for the replies. Messing with one of the files form aozora, I've just realized that some of the characters are missing in the text files (they are replaced by images in the xthml edition) because they are 外字. I never understood why japanese haven't switched completely to unicode by now. So I don't want to mess with gaiji and whatnot. Ahh, forget about the lunar lander and the blackjack. Forget about the whole damn thing!
