supplemental reading for KO2001?

#1
Hi guys,

I am almost through the first KO2001 book (491/555) but I have realized I struggle to recognize the vocab outside of the context of KO2001 sentences and I think it would be a good idea if I tried reading something else to reinforce what I'm learning. I have tried reading asahi articles but most are still way over my head. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw someone mention children's newspapers but I don't know where to find them online.

Thanks Smile

could make a vocab deck... put all the vocab you learn from KO into it, that way it makes it easy to keep track of how much you know plus having to remember the reading and meaning in isolation means you generally remember what it means in any context.

So far it's work pretty damn well for me Smile

In addition, on the CosCom website there are FREE supplemental practice books for all the kanji in both books.

I have no idea what KO2001 is like, but I'm about 1000/4000 into core6k. Anyway, I'm reading the fiction book of the Read Real Japanese series while going through the rest of core6k, and it's been working out very nicely. Check it out if you have a chance.
