"Hooollllly Shiiit!"
My favourite one from Quake 3 - Said in capture the flag when you killed someone within a few feet of the flag to stop them scoring a point. I nearly fell from my chair when I first heard it.
Can't think where it would fit into Anki reviews though... hmmm.

I like a lot Unreal Tournament, but for some reason the plugin isn't working for me. =/

The files are there and play without problems from my multimedia player.
I've tested several times, even opening a deck and answering everything pressing "4" only, and after several (like more than 15) cards there is no sound.
I thought that probably the sound from my cards could be messing with the sound from the plugin, so tried with a deck without sound and the result is the same.
I'm using Win 7.
Thanks for your patience.

I seem to be having the same problem as Sebastian.

Now it works perfect, thanks!
Probably it could be better to set the male voice as the default, since the female voice is a bit too NSFW.

It seems like there isn't any wav versions of the male voice? I had to change the file type index to 0 for it to play the ogg files instead.

Okay, am I the only one who'd like to hear the sound of gunfire (or Plasma rifles.. a little variation never hurts) every time you answer correctly?

Well, this is certainly making me laugh whilst I do my reviews. I didn't realise there were anki plugins like this!

Great idea, overture!
Glad to see my post inspired you to make a cool plugin. I'll probably include sounds in my next version when a new level is reached (going to take a look into your plugin how you used sounds ;-) ). I guess our plugins will work good in conjunction. I'm planning to release my first "real" version within a week.

It's too bad that Starcraft sounds aren't really appropriate. I don't need someone telling me to build more pylons just because I missed too many cards in a row. En Taro Adun, Anki.

Thanks a lot overture2112, your plugin has been a very nice addition to my daily reviews. Actually, it has been even more fun and motivating than I expected at the beginning.
There is a tiny bug though, where sometimes Anki stops playing the "Unreal" sounds before the audio ends, to play next card's sound instead. No big deal and it only happens sometimes, but since your plugin has proven effective for my, I actually miss listening the full track when I'm in a Killing Spree. =)
BTE, would it be possible to add a sound that plays every time you end a session (for people who use Anki's timeboxing options, i.e. limit their sessions by number of repetitions or time)? For example, if you have less than 50% of correct answers it would play the "Humiliating defeat" track, or the "Flawless victory" one if you're over 90%.

I was curious if anyone had suggestions on things to add, particularly for the following sounds (some suggestions by me or others provided):
Headshot
* eg, answering new card correctly? might be too common/irritating for those who don't spread out new cards or only add to Anki after learning thoroughly
Double Kill (and Triple / Multi)
* eg, answering correctly in < N seconds since last answer
30 Seconds Left (and One Minute Remains)
* eg, before your session is about to max out it's timebox duration
Humiliating Defeat
* eg, failed mature card, failed N in a row, less than X% accuracy at session end?
Bottom Feeder
* eg, marking more than N in a row as "hard"?
