Hey people.
I have a (small) totally innocent question about Japanese last names.
Has anyone ever heard/seen 青空 used as a last name by any real Japanese person (not a bank and not a pornstar)?
I'm curious... (and I can't seem to find the answer because if it is, it's not in the most common names lists I've checked)

Wikipedia has a Takarazuka performer 青空弥ひろ and a manzai duo 青空千夜・一夜 but in both cases they're stage names rather than real names, so don't count either.

I would have said "Only in Anime, that's not really a Japanese last name" if I didn't check this, but I guess there are at least 2 households with the last name 青空 in Japan.

The database is suposed to cover 70% of the Japanese population, so it's like 1 in ten millions and I don't know if they are racially Japanese though.

I get the feeling that this is somewhat like looking for real people named Skywalker.

In another place I hang out, someone mentioned that a friend of theirs is the last male with some rare last name, and the Japanese government keeps sending him letters to get busy carrying on the family name.

(Which I find hilarious, and sad, and awesome all in one big ball.)

What is wrong with me?

(it's like this dream where I'm dyslexic: I write something which makes perfect sense (I'm sort of a writer), then I pass the sheet around, and people look at me as if I was crazy, and then they hand it back to me and I frightfully read demented word orders with crazy spellings of a language that isn't even English (still written in romaji: like Uürfruhk seïgroum miîlyah... but that goes on and on for pages).

I mean, I have the Japanese IME, do I need the Chinese one? (and I run on vista for now. I know it's vista, it's always vista).

Totally off topic but this reminds me of Charlie from It's always sunny in Philadelphia in the episode where he writes the song "nightman". It's exactly as you've described it.

Maybe all creators partake the same experiences... (weird)(if you don't believe in relativist synchronicity that is)

And FYI, I do know of the show, but only watched a couple of episodes back when I was in Ireland (about a fire in a bar, and one where the hero bangs a hippie girl on acid ) some years ago.
