Japanese audio streams

First of all, I apologize if this has already been covered. I've dug around some topics but I couldn't find specifically what I was looking for. Basically I'm trying to find some sort of talk show stream that preferrably doesn't require a special viewer app. Not many of those run on Linux, and the one I've tried so far (Keyhole TV) had very terrible quality.

Really, everything I've found so far is limited to segments. I want something that I can listen to the 8-9 hours I spend at work every day, but amazingly I have found nothing. I would prefer something less formal than news, but at this point I will take anything. Am I missing some really obvious resource here?

I would look for some podcasts. Look for some longer ones so you don't have to download a lot. They'll be better than a tv stream as they're not meant to be viewed, only heard.

Looks like it might have to come to that, it's crazy to think that there aren't really any constant streams though. Oh well =\

KeyholeTV's radio streams are rather variable -- some are awful but some are OK, so it's worth checking the lot to see if there are any you can cope with rather than just discarding the lot on the basis of having sampled one. (All the TV streams have out-of-sync audio so I'd skip those.)

If you have a decent internet connection, you could probably turn your own computer at home into a personal streaming radio station. Just download a bunch of media, and hit shuff and play. Then you can connect to it from work anytime.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure what software/technology you would need, but I'm certain it's possible.
