Walking in Tokyo

#1
So per discussions we've had in the past about a certain type of 'genuine' material and soundwalks etc., here are videos of the videographer walking through Japan. Pretty cool.

Edit: Here's something similar but with static camera (feels like I'm in Inception, watching these—virtual exposure therapy for social anxiety?): http://1st.geocities.jp/jp2323y/newpage4.html (Youtube links per country, do a ctrl+f on "日本"). These and even the first link seem to be more of value for ambience/snippets than anything linguistically involved.

The 25 'walking in Tokyo' videos are a little over a gig in size when you eliminate the non-HD repeats, for the record. Keepvid.com sure is handy. Not that I would know, I'm just... guessing. Oops, did I bump my own thread?

Those are some really neat videos. Really takes you outside your own little bubble and gives you a feel for what Tokyo is like. Heck, even the one guy's video in NYC was neat to watch, and I've even been there already Tongue

This is great. Reminds me of news channel Euronews' "No comment" sections.

As for downloading the videos, I noticed the other day a download option on YouTube. It was a Creative Commons licensed video. Either YouTube users are not aware of the option to offer downloads or maybe it's only paying accounts who can do that?
