Why huge breast are worshipped isn't a mystery, but in the case of manga, I'll guess it's because the mangaka have all a very problematic sexuality, correlated with the fact there is a crawling hate of the body feeling in Japanese culture that makes one fantasies on unreal things (like agravitational boobs or shemales).
But that's just my guess of course.

I would just like to point out that 95% of moderately in shape western girls own/wear clothes exactly like her's, and they show just as much cleavage per percentage of the actual boobs that they have when they do. I mean it's not like she is wearing some shirt with a V-cut to the belly button, or a string bikini with cups barely big enough to cover her nipples. She's wearing the same shirt that every girl I know owns, and that you can pick up at any GAP/Express store across America. And let's not lie to ourselves. Most girls try to bring out their appealing physical features, and in fact spend plenty of time and money doing so. In fact I'm willing to bet almost every Western girl out there has at least one bra designed to make their boobs look better in certain clothes, let alone the money put into makeup, hair, etc.

Yes this girl could very well be some super slut, but in the internet world she's near the bottom of the "girls in offensive/revealing clothes" scale. If she can generate a zillion views + google ad sense revenue from wearing a shirt that 90% of girls in the western world own then hell, more power to her.

I'll make this pledge though: If I create videos demonstrating exercises while narrating in Japanese, the exercises will be proper (ex: chest to ground push-ups where your hands must leave the floor in the down position), the weights if any will be heavy (150+ kilo deadlift or squats), and/or the intensity will be high.

PS: It's my intention to train physical fitness in Japanese after I retire, but until then please visit http://www.crossfitasia.jp/ for more intense training methods in Japanese.

I've kinda lost my train of thought but what I was disagreeing with in my head and not conveying well at all is that that youtube girl really wouldn't 'fit in' in Japan (not that I object to not fitting in). Girls that wear that style irl not TV stand out a mile.

I was considering a longer response but opted against it it, since my specific sentiments are just extra din in an already muddy pool. Suffice it to say, Jimmy, activeaero, et al: thank you.

So here's what I took away from this thread. It's okay to do anything that will bring in some cash, unless it:

a) presents an annoyingly inaccurate view of Japan;
b) perpetuates unrealistic ideals of beauty and creates distorted body image problems;
c) results in improper push up technique;
d) perpetuates the 'woman as dumb sexual object stereotype' which harms women indirectly and is linked to further exploitation; or
e) causes us to take pleasure in deriding those who are less enlightened.

I'm afraid I was less clear about the 'slut' references. Not sure if it's moral condemnation of women who express and experience sexuality as they like, or dismay at the excessive negative sexual objectification of women in society/media?

btw Activeaero, I don't think general status quo is an ideal measure of whether certain behaviour is good or not. Besides, it isn't really about the exact cut of her blouse... :-)

As a guy I don't know why other guys give so much attention to these girls and idols in general. Magibon and that other British one were bad enough.

She also flares her elbows out which will kill your shoulder. Her depth is also lacking.
