Hello!

I hope somebody can help me because I keep having the same issue again and again and it's time to find a solution for it. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with that problem anyways?!
It's not even an OS-specific problem! I had it on my old XP laptop as well as on my new (Japanese) Windows 7 computer!

So, when you use Microsoft-IME to type Japanese, a list appears with suggestions of words, right?
For example, if I type はな　I get suggestions such as 花、鼻、華 etc.
Now, what happened to me several times is that suddenly it doesn't work for some words anymore, although it worked before!
For example, now when I type から it just tries to give me suggestions for the first か but ignores the ら. It doesn't seem to recognize から as whole word anymore.
There MUST be a way to fix this somehow!

I really hope somebody knows how to fix this!! ;o;

Just kidding. I don't use MacOS but wanted to get that out of the way.
Yours sounds like a strange problem. Are you typing から by itself? As part of a sentence? Did you change any of the IME settings?

I don't think this is a Windows problem!!
I didn't change any settings (not that I'm aware of any!)

It doesn't matter if I type kara alone or in a sentence, it tries to find the right kanji for "ka" and ignores the "ra"

I got it to work again!!
Next to the number 0 (in the suggestion list) is a light bulb, if you press that you can return to the original settings for "kara" or whatever word
