These phones are seeming more and more popular lately, and I was wondering if they have any decent apps to look out for for Japanese learning and what not.
I'm probably going to get an Ipod Touch anyway(waiting for the new version to come out though, because I'm somewhat expecting one soon). But I was wondering if these android phones have anything nifty that an Itouch couldn't do.
I'm currently stuck with U.S. cellular, but I'm pretty sure I have an upgrade available and my current phones sucks pretty hard, and can't do, well, anything. So I was seeing what else there is available. It seems that currently only the Samsung Acclaim and the HTC Desire are available through U.S. cellular. So the HTC seemed like the better option.
I'm still not sure if I want to bother, but I would definitely like a better phone in the first place so I'm just curious what may be available with an android phone. Or if I need a specific type of android phone for certain apps and what not.
Any input on the topic is appreciated. I'd really like to upgrade if it would have some cool uses, but I have no idea what might be available. I've lived with an internet-less phone for so long I'm completely out of the loop on anything phones can do nowadays.
Also another thing I'm curious about is their music playing capabilities. Would it be possible to do the same type of stuff with an android as I would with a normal ipod? Just your basic ability to create playlists and shuffle the music and all that good stuff? I imagine it wouldn't work with itunes though? How would you go about syncing music and what not?
Sorry for asking so many things.
