I just finished RTK1, and plan to do the April supplement in the near future. The problem is that about 20 kanjis in the supplement can't be added to the SRS in Koohii, and I'd also like to add several non-Heisig characters too, so I want to move to Anki. I guess there's no way to keep the kanji reviews in the same state as it is here, so the reviews would have to start again from zero. On the other hand, it could help to do a general review of all kanjis. Does anybody have any comments or recommendations about it? Thanks.

I would wait until a deck w/ the revised kanji is available. Or not wait, it's up to you.
Check this Anki screenshot:

Set Initial Easy Interval between 60 and 90 days when reviewing initially. Set Initial Good Interval between 30 and 60 days when reviewing initially. Be sure to hit "3" or "4" instead of space for any you think are easy or very easy respectively. Be sure to change it back once you have zero new cards.

I guess you mean I should wait for consistency's sake? Or because it'd take me too long to input the new kanjis? Does that mean I'd have to wait until the new version of the book is released?
Thanks for the tip, will definitely implement it!

You could just create an entirely different deck for the non-RTK kanji, and review them separately. I know this might be a bit of an annoyance to have two decks, but at least it would be a temporary solution.

The thing is that I got some kanjis that are not Heisig at all, and will probably never be, and I want them in the SRS. And having 2 separate decks kind of beats the point of randomality, because I can expect what to get from each of the two reviews beforehand, right? And also, when a new deck does come out, I'll have to redo the whole list, right?
Sorry if some of the questions sound dumb, I'm an Anki noob.

I think you should just start from scratch. Just liberally use the "Easy" option and you will get the trivial characters pushed way back before you know it.

It is possible to save your progress when migrating, provided all the different things that have to work together are working at the moment. The plugin is called "Import progress from Koohii" (in Anki: File -> Download -> Shared Plugin) and there seem to be two versions, so you probably want the more recent one. Instructions are in the plugin description. (It uses the downloaded export file, so if it doesn't work, it won't break anything on Koohii.)

Starting from scratch would seem to me like a terrible waste of time.
Also, it is always possible to combine two Anki decks using the "Import" option.
When a new deck comes out, you could for instance:
- delete the RTK1 (tagged) cards in the new deck and import it into the old deck, or
- integrally import the new deck with different tags and then filter out the duplicates using the Jxplugin.
But perhaps there are better ways, not an Anki genius myself.

Thank you very much, the plugin worked like charm!
Well, starting from scratch would mean reviewing every single kanji, and I've just finished RTK1, so I thought it would be favorable, but yeah, I don't have time for it right now, with exams coming, so I guess this is the best option.

Doing extra reviews would be unlikely to help. The SRS does its job pretty well.

I made the mistake of trying to use this plugin, and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.
