Any hope for scholarships?

#1
I slacked off in high school and barely passed. I'm 20 and getting my A.A. Degree. I really want to study abroad in japan, but without scholarships I will have no way of doing this. After I started RTK, I had an epiphany. And now I work exceptionally hard to get good grades and be the best I can be in school. I'm just worried that I'm too late to get scholarships to study abroad. I need some advice on what to do.

You plan on transferring to a 4-year institute and earning your B.A. right? Many universitites will have study abroad scholarships that you can apply for so long as you have an eligible GPA. I don't think there is really many options for study abroad scholarships if you're still at the junior college level though. But just think of it this way: the longer it takes, the more time you'll have to hone and polish your Japanese skills, so that you get even more out of your experience in Japan Smile

At my university, once you get accepted to the study abroad program (which has a GPA requirement itself) then you are eligible to apply for study abroad scholarships. I know not all universities may work like this, but maybe this will give you a bit of hope. I recommend contacting the study abroad office at whichever university you plan to attend.
