Setting aside separate reminder programs in general, since we already know about plenty of those (Karen's Countdown thingy, MyLife Organized, etc.) -- Don't we already have something like that for Anki? All I could find was that (apparently broken) pop-up reminder. I believe we've mentioned this always-on function before but can't recall whether that developed into something useful. Perhaps rather than just a separate reminder/timing system, have it optionally integrated into the due cards, i.e. if you've cleared your deck, when new cards are due you get reminders, or when every x cards are due you get reminders, perhaps of varying levels of urgency/timing, etc.
