Yeah I did noticed. nest0r was probably the most active forum member, and he up and vanished. I was curious myself.

Maybe Nintendo Magazine hired him back.

It's definitely quiet around here without him. I'm guessing he's taking a break to study/immerse.

One of nest0r's later posts about ajatt had me laughing to tears, but I dunno, maybe he was serious about all that micro-timeboxing stuff.

nest0r, should you ever return, I'd love to hear whether your experience with n-back has benefited your ability to rapidly distinguish among Japanese particles and syllables (as I seem to recall was your hypothesis), how your brain-training regimen may have evolved during your absence, and any other effects it may have had on your mental life.

Nest0r has ascended to a new plane of existence, and can not take your call. If you'd like to leave a message, please do so after the beep.
BEEP
New plane of existence? Me thinks NestOr might be take offense to such a superstitious notion. NestOr is okay though because we are still here. When a nihilist dies, so does the universe.

I am returned. Memories of my Ascension are gone. Just moved and started grad school, honestly haven't done any studying at all, and now I'm on an Asus G73JH (the new love of my life) so I'm still getting reacquainted with stuff. How do I use Anki again? I just figured out that I had much less work to do getting IME set up on Windows 7, so that's nice.
Thanks for reminding me, ridley, I have some kind of n-back thingy I meant to try.

Looks interesting, thanks. I put French on the backburner while I get caught up on Japanese. I've semi-maintained my decks, just haven't added anything new or implemented the complex (until it's set in place) jp regimen I devised before.
All right, let's close this thread. ;p
