Hi- I am new to the site and have what is probably a silly question.

For the kanji that I fail (the ones that end up in the red column of the Failed or Never Tested section) - do these eventually automatically go back in line to be tested?

I have studied the ones that I missed but am not sure how to go about testing on them again.

thanks!

Under the "study" section, on the left you'll see a bar with 10 of your failed cards, and a link to all of them.

On each individual kanji that you've failed, there will be a "learned" button you can click on to add it back to your learned stack.

Hi rochel and welcome!

Pick the kanji from the Failed Kanji list on the left side, or from the complete "View All" list (also a link on the left side), or use the search box. Then just click "Learned" to move that kanji back into the second stack. It will be reviewed in 3 days.

is there a way to click "learned" for all of the cards in the failed box? i currently have 500 in my failed box, but i have a feeling a lot of those were failed do to rushing, or testing when i was tired etc. i want to move them all to the first box and start over before i decide i need to work on the stories.

There isn't any good way to 'learn' all your failed cards at once. The fastest way to accomplish that is: from the main study page, just click on the first failed card, then click 'learned.' It will automatically bring up the next failed card. So you can add them all through 500 clicks. Easy enough.

But if you're just trying to sort out which ones you need to study, just look at the 10 failed keywords on the main study page. Write out the kanji by memory. If you got it right, click learned. If not, you know you need to study!

---------------

[kana]FABURISU[/kana], I'm sure your list of thing to take a look at is long and growing, but I've got a request to add - it would be very helpful if the full failed kanji list 'remembered' how you had it sorted last. I always like to have it sorted by date descending, and I'm sure other people like it other ways.

As always, thanks for the site - it's fantastic.

actually that's a much better method than just moving them all at once. thanks!

You can also try this link: http://kanji.koohii.com/review/review.ph...ed=1&box=1

This will allow you to review your failed kanji in the same review mode you use for expired kanji.
