Basically I want to SRS a list of 1000 or more people who are pretty well known in Japan, including historical figures, present day athleters, past great athletes, actors, actresses, scientists, everyone that is know by normal people.
I like lists imo it has allowed me to progress very quickly, just a few days ago I could read no first names for example, now I can already read like 450 and I already have seen them come to use in reading credits in video games and movies.
So where can I find this info? Oh and especially great authors as I want to try reading the great works of japan soon.

Yeah I will share it up, when I compile it all. But I will study only at the pace of 50 or so a day, so maybe I won't be done for 20 days or so if it numbers near 1000, but I'll upload it after and post a link.
But yeah, more are always welcomed, I will probably only do cards in this format though,
front-name and picture, back-reading. From there you can do as you like, let's get more political figures in here as well, so if anyone knows any more lists please post links here!

I hope you have fields for Name, Reading, and Picture, as opposed to just "front" and "back." It would make it like 100x easier to edit after it's made.

One thing I am wondering though, do you guys think it would be worth it to study picture to name(at least for the modern authors, directors and people who I would see on posters, magazines, and tv nowadays)? Because I was thinking maybe that way whenever I see these people's faces I could easily recall their names, but I think that might just add unwarranted reviews to my daily stack. Do you think picture to name cards would be worth it guys(experienced users that is)?

It might be beneficial - try it, and you can always delete that card type if it's getting too much.

I'm my experience a picture is worth about 100 words.
