Hey all,

Been on the forums for a bit but this is my first post. I am just curious how important the JPLT test is for being employed in Japan. I am in Japan on a trip currently and bought a few review books here to practice some but I found out later that I will be nowhere near a test site on Dec 2 in order to take the test. I will be a second-year in college starting in September and I hope to get some sort of internship in Japan in the next year or 2 so I figured I would need JPLT certification. However, in the few applications I have looked at for internships so far no required certification is noted. Thoughts?

Also, if anyone has any good resources for finding business-related internships in Japan I would greatly appreciate hearing about them.

I had been under the impression that there was a business Japanese test that was more specialized than the JLPT and that that was required by employers in that field.
