Ok I know this is kind of old, but no one really helped me here.
I understand I need a flash cart/card. But how the heck do I get it ONTO the falsh card? I have a laptop with an SD card port but it doesn't look big enough to fit a DS falsh card. I DO NOT have internet at home. But I do have it at work.
I am, I kid you not, a complete n00b when it comes to this stuff. None of the wikis have helped me know how to get it onto the card. (Unless I'm just missing something.)
Is anybody willing to give some sort of step by step instructions to a n00b? I really don't want to shell out the money for a iPod touch...

You need to buy a Flash card for the Nintendo DS. Which can run homebrew( AceKard 2 is one of my favs). In that Flash card goes an micro sd card. Which contains the firmware for the flashcard(usually you need to download of the site from the flashcard). Also make sure you get the DSi compatible card if you have an DSi
On that micro sd card. You put the anki folder on the root. and the desired syncing method you want ( If you want to use that anki in the main post..). than you boot up the Acekard or whatever flashcard of your choice. And go into the ankids folder. And than you can startup the ankids.nds file.
However it seems that that developer isnt updating the program anymore. So it probably won't sync anymore with the current anki client (not to sure about that..). Maybe the the ankids diiK0nn posted works with the current anki client But I am not sure yet.
@diik0nn
haven't heard of that one yet. Ill try to find something about it. It looks pretty good!
If you have any more questions I can try to answer them.
Edit: seems that the version diik0nn posted isn't compatible with syncing atm. But should be in the future.
