I suck too, but one of these weeks I will drop by, if only to listen in. :-)

It's 9:05 your time, 6:05 my time. Where are you? Seriously. *You're* the one who picked this time.
And it might help to get people to read this thread if it didn't say MAY FIFTH in the title. They may think it's out of date.

My top 5 theories for why no one else came to chat, not even the people who scheduled it:
5) You misunderstood the term "fashionably late" to mean that you have to be fashionable before you show up, and that will never happen.
4) You have taken bets on how long I will sit alone in the chat room.
3) You decided to practice your Klingon instead.
2) One of your seventeen cats puked on your laptop and you can't find anything to clean in up with in the midst of all these empty pizza and takeout boxes.
1) You were stuck in Sparta because somebody set up you the bomb before rick-rolling you into some lolcats. And then you died.
Thank you all for wasting an hour of my time. It was great. Why don't we do it again next week?

I agree. Not showing up to something you organised, poor form.

She was at both the events last two weeks, so maybe something unforeseeable happened tonight. Let's be wary about bandying about insults prior to finding out what happened.
To be honest, I was more than impressed with her level of Japanese as it put mine to shame. It'd be nice if something like this becomes commonplace as it is cool to share ideas and chat with video conferencing. Putting a face to names does keep people at ease with accepting ideas.

I find it quite encouraging that people are interested enough this time to even complain about it. Maybe this means that next week it will be packed and fun ;D
We can also try to engage in this conversation club tomorrow too to make up for tonight, if people are interested.

Ocircle, I hope you weren't offended by my posts. I actually figured after the first 20 minutes or so that you must have had a valid reason for not being there. I was mostly just venting my frustration. I only joined the site on Monday, so I am still in "super hyped up ready to study Japanese" mode.
