I watch a lot of Japanese porn and as a Japanese newb I don't really understand what they're saying.

The 2 most common words/phrases I hear are:

Kimuchi / Kimushi - (feels good?)
Sogoy (comfortable?)

I'm wondering if there are better definitions and how to write them in Kana/Kanji. Also are there any other really common phrases said in porn that I should know?

Only because western (English) porn sites are overflowing with only the weird or perverse stuff. It says more about the west than it does about Japan. I've personally never seen a JAV that was ittai ittai ittai ittai. It does seem to be more and more common in western AV to have the guy slap the girl repeatedly and cause the girl to gag on his manhood, followed by her taking it in every hole though. Also, take a look at the titles of videos on your favourite western AV site or the user comments and then try to say how respectful the west is in comparison to Japan. AV is all acting anyways. If you had mentioned the mosaics then you might have had a point, but there is plenty of uncensored stuff nowadays too.

I don't think there's restriction on the content. The forum has never been described as "family friendly" though it generally is reserved. There was some serious language and themes being used, especially in the thread about a guy who wanted to stay a virgin till he found 'the one' or some such. Even this porn theme came up before.

Personally, I'm wondering why the OP didn't ask this in the "what's this word/phrase" thread. It hardly seems worthy of an entire thread, unless it was a poor attempt to steer the discussion to porn (with porn in the thread title). Certainly there are more advanced words/phrases used in porn. That may be worthy of discussion. Heck, it might even help when hearing the discussions of drunk salaryman at a local 居酒屋.

Actually, although I know a lot of Japanese vocabulary used during sex, there are a few that confuse me.

One is あつくなった or あつい, which I initially assumed was 熱くなった (literally 'It got hot' temperature-wise). But then I realized 厚くなった (meaning, it got thick or deep) would make a lot more sense. Yet, I hear it used at all kinds of strange times, so I'm still a bit unsure.

Also, the だめ thing is weird. Outside of sex the meaning of だめ is obvious. When used during sex, at first I thought of it as an embarrassment thing. Girls are embarrassed about something and they tell you だめ... but it doesn't really mean 'don't' or 'stop', since they actually want you to continue. An alternative and somewhat related explanation in my mind was girls pretending to be proper. But then I've also heard girls say it when THEY were doing ALL the work in whatever was going on, which has again destroyed my theory. It seems like some girls are just using it the same way people use 気持ちいい　(which seems to almost always be pronounced closer to 気持ち).

I would caution about randomly using sexual phrases (or any phrase) when you're not sure of the context. The one for one rule may not apply as the noted above.

Wow, so I'm not the only one using JAV as a source of learning Japanese!

The censored ones actually tend to be better for this in my opinion, as they usually have higher production values, so you can often have some sort of "story" in it, which gives you some interesting dialogue to listen to. A lot of various ones also have an interview with the girl, or just lots of random chatting/dating at the beginning.

Just reading the titles on the dvds can teach you a LOT of interesting words, as they tend to show up repeatedly on lots of different ones. As a side note, the titles are often more interesting than the actual content.

By the way, one word that I often see in titles is "pacopaco". Anyone know what this means? I've been seeing it for years, but still have no idea :|

I guess so. I've only dated non-westernized Japanese girls but I've never had a big cultural clash in relation to sex. Everyone is different, even non-westernized Japanese people. Some are gold-digging brand slaves, others are laid back. If anything I think Japanese people who seek out westerners as partners are just as shallow as people who want to see a business card before the first date.

I'm not sure what you mean about societal views on sex and intimacy though... The reluctance of Japanese women to use birth control (thanks to misinformation campaigns and ignorance) is the only thing I can think of.

The low sex rates in Japan likely have more to do with the lack of free time and privacy, being exhausted from overwork, pressures to have a child immediately after marriage, and the high average age of the population than they do with some sort of cultural views about intimacy.
