Anyone have a tensho (篆書) font that contains all of the Joyo Kanji? It's the style used by engravers when they carve inkan/hanko. I have found many tensho fonts online, but those only contain about 1000 kanji. If you try to type certain kanji using those fonts, they only come up as boxes. I would appreciate it if someone could provide a link to the FULL tensho font. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone ever made something that randomizes fonts for Anki, or performs some similar, general function?

It might be pretty easy to make a font randomizer plugin for anki, but I think that might be a bit troublesome in usage. Fonts tend to vary in size, so you might get something quite legible one day, and then a tiny mess the next day. And some fonts rather suck for legibility, so maybe you would have to set it up to only select fonts from a pre-approved list.

hehe, I didn't mean completely random. Some fonts don't even have kanji support, or are alphanumeric only. ^_^

You change it under Settings somewhere. Deck properties, edit/layout/etc. Something like that. It's pretty intuitive... Are you new to Anki or somesuch thing? I recommend reading through the site. It has a wiki and stuff I think.

nah i've been using it for a while, but some of those instructions are pretty complicated because I'm not a really computer-type of person.

I found it where you said. I actually learnt quite a bit more about anki tinkering through the deck settings area. thanks for the pointer.

Hmm for the record, looks like there was already a ‘randomize display properies’ plugin for Anki. Knew I saw that somewhere. Doesn't seem to work anymore though.
