This is related to another thread I just posted but a bit different, so I think it deserves it's own post.


Do you guys know any DS games that take place in Japan. I mean I would guess that there are tons of games that take place in Tokyo for sure, but I am not yet well acquainted with any.

So yeah basically, what games take place in Japan? As in the gameplay plays out in some Japanese city or region. Any genre is ok, for instance the there's some 山手線電車 game or something that I might pick up. Anything and all is ok!

すばらしきこのせかい (or "the world ends with you") is a DS game set in Tokyo, Shibuya.
It has some interesting (though slightly demonic) control schemes and was all in all quite fun to play

Actually Pokemon takes place in Japan... O_0

428 〜封鎖された渋谷で〜 for PSP (originally for Wii, also ported to PS3) is pretty good stuff if you're into visual novels and/or crime dramas.

I mentioned this game in your other thread too, but 428 封鎖された渋谷で (psp) takes place in Shibuya (duh).

ペルソナ3 ポータブル (Persona 3 Portable -- PSP) and 女神異聞録デビルサバイバー (Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor -- DS) both take place in Japan, with Persona in a fictional modern city in Japan and Shin Megami taking place in downtown Tokyo.
