Japanese TV on Internet

Maybe aznv.tv only needs codes from certain countries?

I can't register without a code either.

My account at aznv still hasn't been given any invites. On the invite page it says "Another invitation code will be added to your account on July 24, 2010". Obviously this hasn't happened yet, but as soon as I get one I'll inform the first person in the queue.

I joined without an invite, and I'm in America, so maybe try using an American proxy?

EDIT: I logged out and tried again, this time it asked for an invite code. I wish it would give me some invites to share.

i use torrent/youtube/veoh/japanese sites that link to episodes of shows to the video site (megavideo/vveoh/youku/youtube/etc)

ex of what type in google to find a site: しゃべくり 動画
a しゃべくり veoh

basically tv show + douga or veoh or megavideo or whatever.

Watching japanese tv is ingone thing... but more importantly you should watch Japanese shows/Japanese people [that appear on the tv shows] you actually like/find interesting/worth watching.

for example I don't like that lincoln show. I don't like suberanai hanashi that much, i prefer zotto suru hanashi or suki or ki ni naru kaigi. I thought ame talk was really annoying/noisy with all the gaya etc but it's actually really funny/entertaining when the topic for the show is right. Bowwowow geinin or whatever was unwatchable but HITOMISHIRI geinin/evangelion geinin etc are HILARIOUS.

Also love shabekuri 007 and honma dekka, kore tte ari desuka. Love my Japanese TV but I don't like all the tv shows and there's no point making yourself watch japanese tv shows you don't really like. Even besides the fact that keypoint has horrible audio/video.... it just seems more ecnomical (with time) to find a show you like and try to wach all the eps you can find online (and re-watch if desired) and/or find other shows like that or with that shikaisha or tarento or geinin.

I was able to register for that site just now. I think they might have a limited number of registrations per day, or something, which start at whatever midnight they're using (I'm just guessing since it finally worked a bit after 1am Central time). That, or this is a coincidence, and the only true method is to try at random times.

Watch what you enjoy, as there are plenty of native material out there for one to immerse in

I also managed to register with Azntv just now, without invitation code. It was not exactly what I expected though. Thought I would find live streams of japanese TV channels, like TV Ants. Instead I only found recorded material with english subs. Probably a good site if you want to watch streamed popular jdrama, anime etc.

I think this is what a lot of people here are mistaking it for. It's not. It's something like a youtube with Asian movies/dramas all hardsubbed in english.

Oh god I think those streams have died, they have been great over the past few weeks.
Anyone know some of some new ones?

The problem I have with these streams is that they are impossible to watch at certain times of the day.

Which times of the day would those be?

I was trying to watch NHK around 6:30pm in Japan on Sunday and the stream was not watchable. I tried increasing my buffer, but it made no difference. Otherwise on off-hours the streams are great, thanks!

I'm sorry for the late reply I missed your post. For me the best time is After 1AM Japan Time and early in the morning from 5-9AM Japan time. It's just a crap shoot. Sometimes the streams are fantastic other times they are unwatchable. I'm glad they are back though.

I was able to get some of the gundam.eu streams to work a cpl weeks ago, though some required multiple tries. There were a few alt. versions on that blogspot site that worked also.

Can I still get invited to aznv.tv?

I really want to watch japanese TV, I have no TV at home |:
Reply
as far as I recall you didn't need to be invited...

plus, it's not actual TV, so it's nothing a little google search and perhaps a torrent program can't get you.

aznv.tv is not the bittorrent tracker that it used to be.
It's now a private video streaming site.

I'm assuming they erased all the old aznv.tv tracker
accounts because mine doesn't work anymore.
