I dont' know if they all work, but the ones I tried at mms://stream.gundam.eu worked
Sweet, now I'm watching the same infomercial on my TV and my computer, with a 30 second delay between the two. Big Grin

Pity they'll probably be down by the time I'm back in America, though. These MMS streams always seem to get nuked as soon as more than a few people know about them. :/

Unfortunately even though it says it supports mms streams in the description of MPlayer CE I can't seem to get it working Sad

If anyone gets it working can you let me know how? Smile

It cycles, I guess. I checked, and most of those are, in fact, the streams I used to use, before they got taken down for a few months with no sign of coming back and I stopped bothering with them. Apparently they're back up now.

Anyway, I find MPC is a headache for streams. If you've got plain old WMP, it's easy, just press ctrl-u and paste in the stream address.

I have Firefox set to use MPC for mms links, though I might slip into the apps section of options and change it if I have any problems. Nothing so far.

Let's try not to break stream.gundam down like it happened last time, use with responsibility.
Don't leave it streaming while you're not watching, don't stream it in many equipment at the same time, etc...

Well, the last time they were put down, was quite possibly because there was a huge number of people who knew about it:
Quote:most useful thing i've seen posted on /a/ in awhile
"/a/" = 4chan

Now, in our defense, I don't think we have nearly the same amount of people, nor the potentially "malicious" intentions that people at 4chan have the reputation of having.

Just put wowow on and half expected James Bond to come on again. Must have watched a good 5 films yesterday!

Hmm, so we can break this if we all pile on at once?
Is there a way to use VLC to dump a video stream to a file? It seems a shame to use all this bandwidth without being able to save anything.

I wonder how long I can let Audacity record audio...hmm

No problem saving, when you're in the open screen, just go to Streaming/Saving, and set it up how you want. Somethings work better than others, but if you're not worried about file sizes, dumping raw data should work just fine.

That is true, if too many people use this it could go down, since each stream seems to be at least 500kbs. It depends on how much bandwidth the host is paying for, but I doubt they would give much more than 50gb bandwidth for free unless they are super rich Tongue.

TVants is good http://www.ccants.com/. Use the orange button to download. Make sure the server you use is list.ccants.com

LiveStation is ok for a bit of news. JustinTV is good if you like baseball.

I can't get them to work for more than a few seconds. Nice quality though.

From what I gathered, gundam.eu is run by matt/mreweilk from BSS and HorribleRaws. You can help him pay the server bills by donating at bssubs.net.

Server screenshot.

Are you talking about monthly bandwidth? Most dedicated servers are unmetered, so that's not a problem. If you're talking about "real" bandwidth, then 100Mbps (guaranteed) is already enough for 200 clients, and it's not that expensive. (seedhost.eu, for example, charges 85€/month. You may be able to find it for even cheaper.)

alright guys!! I got these streams running on my PS3 perfectly now! all you need to do is download the program for your PC called TVersity: http://tversity.com/download then add the stream links to it. you can then open TVersity under your PS3 media center. it'll stream them perfectly with a heck of a lot better quality than i ever expected from it. Looks beautiful on my 46" Samsung Big Grin

i researched mms streamers for the ipod touch for a few hours when i first saw this thread, and couldn't find anything that would do video + audio. VLCforIphone seems to crash when you try. The developers of VLCforIphone are making a new media player for the iphone but it is only available to beta testers right now as far as i know.

The app "wunderRadio" allows you to stream the audio, though.

Thanks for sharing these links! They are the best streaming TV that i have found so far! WOWOW channel is awesome!

On the other hand, Kids Station has less distractions (less tits!) and is closer to my level. Wink

I would never call tits a distraction...an enhancement, yes.
