Does anyone know what the kanji coverage of ko2001 vs Core6000? I know ko2001 covers about 1100 kanji, but does Core6000 cover more kanji?

Core6k has more kanji total but what seems to be a lot fewer readings. I think ko2001 is a better organized and thorough sentence set.
Disclaimer: I did not finish 6k because I got really really bored with it and moved on to ko2001 instead. ko2001 tops out at about 1100 kanji, I got to about 1400 in core; however I felt I got a lot more out of ko2001.

The advantage of Core 6000 is the audio and dictation.
I am using it to help both my listening comprehension and solidify my kanji skills.

Core6000 was made for vocabulary, presumably it's beat 2001KO at that.
Another difference if it matters is that Core6000's sentences are usually very short.

I know for a fact that there is audio for ko2001 if you buy the e-book, but does anyone know the precise number or ballpark number of different kanji (not compounds) in Core6000?

KO2001 covers 2001 Kanji, hence the name. It is just that the BOOKS only cover the first 1000 Kanji. The CD contains the rest. The entire KO2001 vocab set is floating around somewhere, in fact I'm pretty sure there is smart FM list for it all.
If my memory serves well I believe the first two books of KO2001 (which cover about 1000 Kanji) had about 3,600 unique vocabulary words.
