I was up to 500 for a few days after adding about 100 cards/day for a few weeks when doing RtK a couple months ago.
If you include my sentences/vocab/etc I spiked over 900 once! Thankfully it's down to about 80 for RtK and 300 for sentences/vocab/etc.
My RtK number at over 500 might seem like a lot, but I knew how to write over half of the cards I added (and very familiar with the rest), so it's nothing compared to what you're doing...

I was on vacation in Europe for 2 weeks, and was planning on keeping up with my RtK reviews (which didn't work out ^^). Ended up going about 10 days with no reviews and had around 375ish to do. Most I ever did a day.
Other than that, even now, I sometimes skip RtK reviews for 2-4 days at a time because I hate doing them that much, and get stuck with 120-150ish up for review at once.
As for my Anki decks, I've never had more than 75ish due at once, at that was when I suspended the deck for a few days thinking I wasn't gonna do it for a long time >.> I haven't been too motivated to add any new cards to any of my decks the last few months, so my reviews have never been too out of hand.

The worst I've had was about 200-300 (Kanji only) after having no access to the internet for about a week. Counting all reviews (Kanji, Japanese, Korean, French).. I don't know for sure, but it's been at least 1000.

I have done nearly 2500 in one day before... don't ask, and yes it took all day.

900. During a full day at work. There have been days when I had nothing to do at work and could barely clear 75. I wonder what happened that day?
Also, I once did 300 in one hour. I was actually sweating and my heart was beating fast at the end.

I guess the most reviews i actually did in one day was probably about 400 or so from RTK. I've had like 1000 cards due at one time though, I just never was able to plow through them (and If I had I would probably have had about the same number due during that week). I bascially added about 600 cards in 3 days and then the winter holidays hit. I traveled, went to a wedding, and visited family. When I returned a week later it was at 1000. It literally took me about a month to fully recover from that. That was a horrible horrible month.

A few hundred, when I let it build up. I generally never have above 150 unless I've skipped reviews.
