Nice site, the idea is pretty original and the photography are nice.
They do have a some odd choice for meaning through. Especialy 旬 I don't think it has anything to do with fresh (I checked the various meaning in JWPCE).

Thanks for sharing that masterpiece of design! More than anything, I loved the design, videos and photography...

Yes, the one for the primitive "gates" is awesome.

I think you have to go in the menu (on the right side) to see them all, because it loops after a while, but it does not loop over all the concepts / kanji (there are 12 total).

Regarding 旬 (ten day period) maybe it's related to 旬刊 as in "published every ten days", more in the sense of a short cycle or period for new material (the kanji is also used in season for new fruits etc)

It does mean fresh in conversation. Thinking of it as "in season" may make more sense. It is usually used in reference to fruits, vegetables, occasionally fish. You can also use it when talking about a girl, as in "Man she is ripe". but it sounds just as vulgar and stupid in Japanese as it does in English.
