Well, I've decided that, because even Japanese people can't write all the kanji, why should I be trying. I'm going to set up my kanji flashcards in two groups.
The first group will be production, RtK style. This group will consist of the most common kanji.
The second group will be recognition, kanji to English meaning ballpark, consisting of the kanji that most Japanese people don't remember how to write either.
For the recognition set, I will need a trustworthy source to copy and paste general meaning from. Do you guys think Kanjidic is good enough for this? What source would you use to get an accurate and useful kanji meaning from?
Thanks for your help guys, bloody fantastic forum.
