Wow this is pretty cool, I didn't even know about this.

Media Player Classic has support for a web interface, I've played around with it on my iPhone/iTouch before. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to read through an external sub file and allow you to jump through it, so you wouldn't need to leave the comfort of your own media player. (And it could be dual monitor or iPhone friendly).

That's for books/stories/etc. For video I'd be torn whether to use Kage Shibari, Aegis, or KMPlayer, despite the presence of timestamps/lack of presentation customizability on the latter two which feeds into the obtrusive feeling of how the frame/window/verticality is presented.

But as for making files, I've never made the .lrc files but .trs is easy: http://blog.dinglabs.com/2010/02/how-to-...ntent.html just open Transcriber, load the audio file and text, and hit a key as you listen, whenever you think it's a good place for the audio/text to line up. Took me only the length of the audio file to make the one I linked to in above comment. Then I ended up with a .trs file and the audio, all that's needed for the above tool balloonguy made.

I keep it as a local .html file (saved the version1 thingy as complete page) and type "file:///media file path", hit Load, Browse for the .trs file and voila!

Still waiting for .trs support in subs2srs though. Or is that on there now, haven't checked in a while. Or maybe I'll start making .lrc files instead.

I do most of my studying on an Android phone and wonder if anything similar to this - or to the Learning with Texts - exists for Android (or if one of the great programers on this forum could be interested in making such an app... .
