I just wasted 13 minutes searching for a text-based list of the JLPT 2 kanji. Does anyone have a list? (I'm going to post them on the wall.

In case Katsuo doesn't bust in with an array of detailed lists including the names and locations of everyone who has ever made a JLPT list...

The JLPT lists I made are taken straight from the specification book published by the body that makes the test.
Most lists I've seen on the Internet are approximations made from a mixture of school grade and name kanji lists. In particular for the JLPT level 1, many years ago someone posted an arbitrary list on their web site consisting of the 1,945 Joyo kanji plus the list of 285 name kanji that was current at the time. This list has been much copied and many Internet sites use it even now.
The time taken to learn those name kanji would be better spent elsewhere.
Incidentally, the JLPT is changing to five levels this year, and they will no longer be publishing a detailed specification book. I would suggest that level one students who want a reference now use the new Joyo kanji list. The Joyo kanji is also being revised and brought up-to-date this year and I imagine the JLPT body will use that as its new reference.

I see, well I think the joyo list is pretty bizarre. They exclude simple 漢字 like 誰 and 俺 and include some of the strangest characters such as 斤 and 淫. O_0
I after I finish RTK3 I will just learn them in context. ^__^
I wanted the list for my wall which is looking quite naked without any 漢字 on it.

淫 isn't that bad, it sees use in words like 姦淫 and 淫乱, not the most pleasant words, of course, but they are used.
虞 and 朕 are almost never used, but they had to be included because they are used in the Japanese Constitution. Other kanji come from similar bureaucratic pressure. The Jouyou List is a political document, not something that's really useful to learners.

O_0When the original Toyo kanji were chosen in 1945 they were trying hard to restrict the total number and decided to use kana for personal pronouns (but 私 was included due to its extensive use in compounds). However, 誰 and 俺 are on the revised joyo list due this year.
斤 is often on bread packaging: 一斤、半斤.
