Most kanji learnt in a day?

#1
So yesterday I ploughed through 60 kanji as the two days before I didn't learn any (due to being ill, not lazyness!). I think this is the most I've studied in one day before and was just wondering where other people have maxed out...

(By study I mean meet a kanji for the first time and create a story for it.)

I did 120 once. Nothing else to do and it was really early on so I was more motivated to get going.

Towards the end of the book I was doing 80-88 characters on typical days, trying to finish as fast as I could, but I think there were a few days when I did 96.

I've done around 100 on at least one occasion - just ploughed through a couple of chapters, reviewed them once and then sat back and realised quite how much I'd achieved! I tend to prefer to learn a chapter or two in one go, then focus on reviewing for a while. Usually the learning part takes a few days though. Have to admit, have been slack on the reviewing recently...

I think ~130 was my single highest, somewhere at the beginning of the book. I did over ~100 several times. I averaged ~55/day throughout the book. Doing a bunch in one day is satisfying, but the feeling of your brain being mush afterwards isn't. =)

i've done 153 today... my current goal is to try to do 50 a day (the 100 a day guy inspired me) but i only did 15 yesterday, so i did 35 of yesterday's, today's 50, and by then i was so close to getting over the giant pain that is chapter 23 i plowed through to the end. total time ~7 hours including food and shower break.

of those 153, 27 are in my failed stack which doesn't seem too bad.

I didn't deviate much from my 50 a day routine, but I think I'm going to try 75 a day and see how long my brain lasts when I start RtK3. I'm just waiting to see when I'll have a nice two-week period where I'll have enough time to plow through RtK3 at 75/day.

I think, the most I did was in the first lessons. It must have been something slightly under 100. I have the feeling that my most effective sessions were when I learned around 20-30 or one lesson per day.

I did 130 yesterday... I also got inspired by the 100 kanji/day guy as well. I've been able to average 100/day for the most part (up to 687 right now since I started a week ago), but yeah, the brain definitely starts to feel mushy once I go past 100. @_@

60 for me.

You know, one day, someone's going to come in here and say, "3007."
