A lot of "Japanese" producers are American? I'm just curious who you're talking about.

Black Mont Blanc "Sullen Faces" is a fantastic album (got it off Amazon), especially the track below:
Still have the キエるマキュウ Peep Show and B.D. Illson albums in constant rotation, I need to get that Kikumaru & Deji "Contrast" album. Also can't wait for the new B.D. album "Balance" coming out in December (http://amebreak.ameba.jp/news/2013/10/004287.html), hopefully it's on the same level as "Illson". I also hope it has more Gradis Nice beats on there, that man's beats are insane. He's probably my favorite producer right now.
Also looking forward to the Issugi and Budamunk collab as well (http://blog.livedoor.jp/colvics/archives/52181578.html).

Deji & Kikumaru "Contrast" is a great album. Deji does it again, just need to hear his first solo album.

Wow. Been listening to the Bobo the Trimmer "Down to Earth" album, it's amazing stuff. I gotta find his first album. Here's a track from it below:

Mikri's 6 Coffin is unbelievable.
If you like dark and evil beats then that's for you. Perfect Halloween music
It's kinda similar to Pusha T's album that dropped this year.

The Issugi n Budamunk album is solid. Bobo the Trimmer Down to Earth is still incredible. Might have to check out that Be in One's Element remix next week.

Did you buy that on Itunes?
The Budamunk x Joe Styles album was decent as well.

I got it off Amazon mp3, it may be on iTunes now. Its weird sometimes Amazon mp3 may have someting iTunes doesnt, and vice versa. BTW, does the Mikris album have any Gradis Nice production on there? I think he produced a few tracks on his EP a while ago.

No Gradis Nice
But it has Grunterz, Golby Sound, Bushmind, Illicit Tusboi
It's easily Mikris' best album.

I know this has probably already been posted in this thread before, but it bears repeating, damn it. This is one of my favorite J-Rap tracks ever, for the beat alone; nevermind ECD, TWIGY, and YOU THE ROCK killing it.

Dope track. Illicit tsuboi is too good.

@LifeFirst - Got it, I like Illicit Tsuboi production, so I'll check it out eventually.
@vgambit - That track is bonkers, Illicit Tsuboi flipped that sample nicely. Those drums, man! And all three shredded the mic as expected.
The 仙人掌 Be in One's Element Remix album is fantastic, it's crazy 'cause remix albums (for me) tend to be meh (depending on who's remixing of course) in comparision to the original album. Both the original Be in One's Element and its remix counterpart are just fire.
Just waiting on that B.D. "Balance" album to come out next week, not sure how it'll be. Hopefully, it'll be in the same vein as "Illson", but who knows. Plus Gradis Nice is only producing one beat (I was hoping for more, he's probably my current favorite producer right now on the J hip hop scene, edging out 16Flip).
Here's some dope links I found:

Never heard of this guy before, NF Zessho (have yall heard of him?). This song is crazy:

Just found out NF Zessho is a producer (Guadamanss, he produced that first track on Deji's "Jimonjitou" album) also. Heard some samples off his album this year "Natural Freaks" on iTunes, not bad at all.
I need to find Bobo the Trimmer's first album "Center of Gravity", these tracks are ill (this one may be hard to find it seems):

Wow that Dinary Delta Force's album is a straight up flawless. It is the best interpretation of East Coast Hip-Hop I've heard post-2000.
Sega Front is a hip-hop classic.

Anyways I'm just wondering if BD is also Gore-tex? Because if you listen to Gore-tex's album they have the same voice and everything.
And yeah definitely check out 6 Coffin, I think that's my favorite Japanese rap album of all time now. It's like everyone was smoking some wicked shit when they made that album, the beats are pretty different from what I usually hear.

I'm holding out on the BD album, since I'm waiting for it in the mail (should be here this week if USPS doesn't screw up haha). I bought it just on the strength of the "Illson" album (and 'cause the yen-dollar rate is finally favorable). A Christmas present for myself. I still need to hear that Kikumaru solo as well.
Gore-Tex and BD do have very similar voices (I could only slightly tell on that "Goroawase" track who was who haha), but definitely two different dudes. Just finally saw what Gore-Tex looks like in the PV w/ Febb the other day:

@Realism - Nice, someone put a few of Mikris tracks on youtube, not bad. "Stray Sheep" and "Matrix" are bonkers.
Also need to hear those Mr. Pug and NF Zessho albums as well. Heard snippets of both on itunes, both projects sound solid. @Ryuudou - daoko does the chorus on a track w/ NF Zessho on "Soul Train". Btw, that daoko remix is nice stuff.

Purple Blood Moth is a pretty quirkey group.
Their album Violet Fizz is pretty interesting. They can give Simi Lab a run for their money.

The more I listen to BD Balance, the better it gets. One of my favorite releases of 2013 for sure. KREVA, hopefully all is well, I got Hakoniwa and I can post it on your blog (and probably Balance as well).

Yeah that BD album has a lot of B-Money and Gradis Nice production it seems, that's the type of stuff I like haha.
Dotama's albums Holy Land and 13月 needs to be experienced.
The production on his albums are crazy, it's like acid jazz combined with experimental trip-hop, his rapping isn't for everyone but the production is some of the best I've heard in a while.

I heard a Dotama track "Holy Land" yesterday, its definitely out there but interesting. I dug it. You know, that BD Balance album is amazing, BD (and his producers) is very good at making albums with crazy replay value. Every track is fantastic, but man "The Wanted" track is just wow. BD n Febb (jjj on there for a bit) rode that beat nice, and Hassy the Wanted constructed a banger of a beat, my goodness.

Norikiyo album is dope
Every track is maked very precisely, even if its not normal oldschool album. Its on top stage of year.
