I'm looking for a little clarification on some SRS terminology that I have seen used here.
In particular can someone explain the meaning behind i+1 or i+2 in context to sentence building?
I have a suspicion that it means item+1 word or +2 words.
Example:
i+1 映画業界 (main being 業界)
i+2 あれを詳細に報告する (main being 詳細)

Well, basically, i+1 stands for a sentence where you know absolutely everything in it, except for one element, which is the one you wish to learn.
Lets say you want to learn a vocabulary word or a kanji in a sentence context.
So, you would SRS a "i+1" sentence, where you have already learned everything in that sentence except for the kanji that you want to learn.
And so your learning progresses, always adding only one unknown element to the pool of things in your head that you already memorized, therefore i+1.
at least, that is the interpretation I make of it, someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Ah that makes sense since people mention that i+3 or greater is pushing it.
Thanks.
