Not sure if people have notice yet, but Tae Kim is adding a new section to his site, called "The Complete Guide to Learning Japanese":

Seems a bit simpler than the grammar guide, and seems to follow a more linear "textbook" style approach, rather than being a reference manual. Ordering a bit more logical too.
More importantly, there are a whole new batch of example sentences! Now say what you like about the sentences on that site, but they are very i+1, therefore I've always found them great.
It's still in the early stages, but seems like it could be a good resource when it's completed.
