Amazon.co.jp sale

Thought I'd let everyone know that among the wonderful deals they usually have (and have now due to the holiday shopping season), you can add EXCELLENT prices on blu-ray movies. I just picked up Independence Day and The Dark Knight (both blu ray) for about 4500円 total.

Check it out!

追伸: It's also worth noting that Japanese Blu-Ray disks WILL play on an American PS3, as Blu-Ray is the same region code for both the US and Japan. I know this is pretty common knowledge, but there might still be some out there who don't know (or think it only applies to games).

Region codes are precisely why I hate Bluray. I'm in Europe and I can play all the Japanese DVDs I want, but it changed with Bluray and the zone has changed for some reason (even though I'm happy for those who live in America and can play Japanese Bluerays Big Grin )

Too bad amazon.co.jp's shippings are a joke compared to most Japanese sites which ship internationally.

Tobberoth, I agree so much it hurts.

Their selection is so amazing, but the shipping is just ridiculous. Who can afford that?

Yeah, it's horrible. I used amazon.co.jp all the time when I lived in Japan, I love the site. But the shipping just isn't feasible Sad

The shipping to America is pretty bad. The shipping to Europe is like being kicked in the face.

With the sale I was able to order two blu-rays and even with the slightly ridiculous shipping, I was still able to get it for less than it would be if I just walked into a store in Japan and bought them. Not to mention, this sale is perfect for those actually living there currently.

Hell, I might go back before it's over (1/11 I believe) and get a few more to ship to a friend for when I'm back in (hopefully) under a year!
