So here I am reading comics barely understanding a thing but thats okay I enjoy non the less. But I want to learn something , I aim for 1 word per session atleast but because there is a sea of words I do not understand Im not sure what words I should pick out study and insert into Anki.

Putting in ALL the words sounds way to inpractical for me and sucks the fun out of reading comics/manga.

What kind of words am I aiming here for?

I am a lower-middle intermediate I guess? I understand manga/tv/ stuff in big lines .

If you are just a beginner, I would focus on adding each new kanji compound that you come across. It'll be really annoying at 1st, but once you make it through one manga series and start the next, you'll find many of the vocabulary repeating itself.

if you like sentence method then you can put in whole sentences that only have one or two new things to learn.

i'm also a fan of just underlining or highlighting the words you want to know and separating your reading sessions from your study sessions. that way, on your first go around you can concentrate on reading and enjoying it, and then when it's time to study you can just flip through your book/manga and see the parts you struggled at and make your flash cards or whatever.

I'd learn everything you come across - you're going to have to everything eventually anyway. It doesn't have to be hard, just copy/paste definitions from the dictionary.

You shouldn't even be "studying" words anyway, just remembering their general meaning and reading, which I imagine you're looking up anyway.

If you are having to look up almost everything, then you need to find easier material. When you are having to look up more than a few words on every page, that just drains all the fun out of it. There is a reason little kids start off reading "Dick and Jane" rather than "Moby Dick". Stick to your level.
