Sorry if this has been posted (probably has). I did do a search and got a general idea. So one of the best ways to study is to use the Smart.FM "decks" and basically extract the sentences to Anki via a plug-in. Correct? Now, I've also found a thread saying the new Smart.FM broke the plug-in? Is this still true?
What plug-in should I use? I would be grateful if you provided a link. I started K2001 but feel really lost. I think my vocabulary is still too low to enjoy studying sentences that sometimes go way over my head. So perhaps K2001 can wait a few more weeks while I do 50 sentences (or so) a day from the beginner packs on Smart.FM.
So basically what I'm asking for is a quick run-down on how this whole Smart.FM / Anki interaction works, and whether it's okay to put off K2001 off or not. After 6 months I haven't accomplished much and want to really get into it.
Thanks for your time.

Well, before we attack the problem of smart.fm, let's attack the problem of your KO2001 usage. Did you finish Tae Kim? Without basic grammar down, KO2001 is too hard, but if you've gone through all of Tae Kim you shouldn't run into anything new.
While it's true that Smart.FM is easier than KO2001, remember that Smart.FM uses real sentences as well. You still need to have a decent grasp of the grammar to get started.

I've known about Tae Kim for a few months now but never devoted myself to it. This past week though I've begun to do a lesson a day. So yes, I understand how important Tae Kim is, and that I should keep working on it.
One more thing I'm afraid of is K2001's errors. I found them using the wrong kanjii and, thankfully, caught it. I forgot what the other issue was, but I had found another error as well.
The thing about Smart.FM is that, while it uses real sentences as you said, I can find some catered more to my level. That being said, with your advice in mind, and my continual use of Tae Kim, I would like to know more about Smart.FM / Anki integration.
Thanks.

Alright then, you seem to know what you're doing.
To get the Anki plugin, you start anki and go to File -> Download -> Shared plugin... and you will get a screen with a lot of various Anki plugins you can download from the official server. If you sort this list by downloads, you'll see that the Smart.FM - Import Lists is the third most popular plugin. That's the one you want.
I've never used it myself so someone else will have to help you with actually using it, if you can't figure it out for yourself.

Got that all, and now I'm supposed to access it via tools but "Tools" is not even selectable. Maybe it automatically sent it to the wrong place?

Now I just feel silly. Thanks again.
Edit: I think I've got the hang of it. So if there are different parts (say "Japanese Core Part 1" then I can just upload Part 2 on top of it, right? And it'll just add it?). My last question is if there is an easier way to repeat the audio, other than reloading the card.
