Sudden BSOD anki decks gone :'( plz help

#1
I was using anki and i suddenly got a BSOD (blue screen of death). After I restarted my computer, anki is not showing my decks anymore. They were downloaded from its server and the files on "my documents" are still there. Is there any way to recover my progress? please help me, to think that all my progress on Core 2000 1/2/3 and KO2001 is gone :'''''( its terrible.

OK guys I sorted the problem out. For those who ever experience this or something similar here's what I did. It turns out that anki always backups your decks. And these backups are normally under applicationdata/.anki

So all i did since i already had the decks under "my documents" was reopen them and the back ups automatically were applied.

Problem solved!!! Big Grin im so happy to have my progress back

Yeah anki decks are too precious to rely on any single backup mechanism. Anki takes backups once a session, plus you should set it to sync on open, close and every 10 minutes, plus you should use dropbox, spideroak or ubuntu one to keep another backup. Worldwide nuclear warfare wouldn't keep me from my anki decks!

I don't keep backups of anything. If my Anki decks go, I'll just learn something new. Livin' on the edge.

So you just like starting over and wasting your time just to feel cool? I was under the impression that life was already too short...
