#1
So I ordered a Japanese DSi from Play Asia on November 22nd. (Sunday.)
It hasn't shipped yet! It says ten to fifteen days to ship. I would like my DSi to arrive at Christmas the very latest. I leave on a hiuge trip, three weeks, the day afterwords.

What shoudl I do to ensure I get it on time? Please help me this is my frist time shopping online.

10-15 days will probably mean 10-15 working days, i.e. 10-15 weekdays. You ordered on a Sunday, so at the earliest it will have been shipped on the Monday, which is only 9 working days ago. If it hasn't arrived by this time next week, then you should start to worry. Wink

I am a worry freak but if things don't turn out well I will have to email them I guess.
I just REALLY don't want to be in a car for 2 weeks without something to do (especially in 日本語).

What exactly is a Japanese DSi. DS games are not region locked so I don't think you would especially need a Japanese one. I have a DSi bought in the US and it even lets you put kana in for your name, and plays Japanese games.

edit: hmm, maybe some parts of the user interface are in Japanese instead of English...

Though I don't have a DS or DSi myself I have looked into getting one or the other... My understanding is that DS games are not region locked, however DSi only games are. Plus there's the DS Ware games that will be in Japanese too on the DSi (i think).

Drivers99さん、
They are the same except Japanese DSi play Japanese DSiware and the menus are in 日本語。I promiosed never to purchase another American game machine in order to promote 日本語 in my life. it motivates me to learn. If you allready have a DSi I would't recomend buying a Japanese one since they are almost identical.

If you are going to purchase a DS get an American one since you can change the langauge in settings to 日本語 and save a LOT of money.

But if you want the camera and DSiware games I would reccomend buying a Japanese one. *shrugs*

All in all if you are new to gaming I would recomend purchasing a DS and changing the language.
