So, I'm redoing RTK with my girlfriend and I saw her writing 凸 in, what I thought, was a funny stroke order. She insisted she'd looked at a WWWJDIC diagram to check it, so I checked. Indeed! It was different than the one I'd learned. But then I realized, if you look at both the SOD and SODA animations on WWWJDIC, they are quite different! Furthermore, my dictionary gives a different stroke order than EITHER of the ones on WWWJDIC.

I know it doesn't *really* matter... but... wow. Usually stroke order feels so "written in stone". It's odd to see three fairly reputable resources disagreeing.

P.S. The stroke order given in RTK is the one given in the SOD diagram on WWWJDIC.

Hmm, the stroke order for the SODA one looks weird, seems almost backwards to me. I always write it how it's written in the SOD one.

Yeah, that's the stroke order given in my dictionary. I also thought the SODA one was the strangest.

The one from the 漢字の正しい書き順 site and your dictionary is supposed to be the popular/typical one, but the Microsoft IME's handwriting recognition program doesn't recognize it as well as the ones from the SOD and SODA.

Wow! That's just crazy. Ah.. loosens a little pressure about 100% correct stroke order all the time though
