This site has more than 1000 good sentences in German with the English translations and audio (real audio), but it will cost you about 9 euro for 6 months subscription. They don't have subscriptions for 1 month or less:

Oh, ahibba beat me again. So, example-sentence.com's sentences are taken from Comprehencia, and according to nyquil these sentences are bad? French-wise, so I'm wondering if all the sentences e.g. German are like that? That would be so hilarious, because someone took the time to get natives to read aloud thousands of sentences but the sentences themselves are shite? Pardon my French. I'm hoping the sentences aren't too bad, though.

One day, my dream of having something like Core 2000 for all those rare languages like French and German, rather than something common like Japanese, will come true.

I took a quick look at some of these sentences. They seem okay to me so far. Of course some do sound a little stiff, but I guess that's the nature of this kind of learning material. Once you delve into material intended for natives this should take care of itself.
