Just wondering if you can give me any tips. I'm not sure how much I'll do a day, but I'll be putting sentences in Anki, of course. Should the front of the card have the full Japanese with kanji, and the answer will have full Japanese with furigana, and English? Is this good, or is there anything else I should remember? How many kanji / pages a day is good to go through?
Thanks as always.
P.S. I do realize there are a lot of K2001 threads, so I'm sorry for making another.

Here's my opinion: Use the sentences to review a particular word in that sentence. As such, have the Kana on the question side with the word being tested in bold letters, or written off to the side. The answer will be the kanji of the sentence (and the word) with maybe the english translation.
Your job is to know how to write out the word (either do it for real or in your head) and know what it means. If you miss it, always write out the correct word.
You can also do "reverse" flashcards where you test Kanji sentence with the word in bold or off to the side. Your job is to know the meaning and how to pronounce the word. These should be faster, though I do write out words I miss here also.
You can also play audio if you have access to the audio files.

Set achievable goals & don't try to do too much. You may think you'll easily manage 200 sentences before breakfast but reality is a lot more boring & slow. The more short term goals you achieve, the greater your motivation will be.

Makes sense. Sounds like you're still refining, and I imagine I'll do the same. Thanks.

Is there any complete pack for the first 555 kanji, as per represented by the KO2001? I would like to use voice as well. I found NukeMarine's files on Smart.FM, so are those the ones everybody is using?
Anything else I need to know? I don't want to upload each card manually.

Does anybody actually own the ebook version that you buy from Coscom and if so is the software good enough in your opinion to not have to throw the sentences from it into an srs for kanji reading retention.

I have it and no it's not really good enough unless you have a very good visual memory. Since there's no software really you just have to click around on web pages located on the cd.

Well if u are about to start KO2001 soon, you are in luck because next week I am going to be working on finishing out the lists on smart.fm to bring the current 1110 kanji up to 2001... U can just import all that into anki if you like

sure, no problem... i was gonna save it as a New Year's surprise for everyone and just randomly throw it up on the website when i got done with it... but i figured that some people that are beginning the KO2001 journey might like to know that it is in the works... I was working through the 1110 kanji from before recently in Anki as I had previously studied them in smart.fm and had forgotten a lot. Now that I am about caught up to 1110 again, I'll finish making the rest as I review what I have currently studied... I imagine that I'll have it completed sometime during the 1st week of January... if anybody can give me a list of the kanji that don't appear in KO2001 but do appear in RtK1, I would like to include them as well...

Out of interest Hashiriya, how many words does that bring the total of vocabulary for all 2001 kanji?
Also, have you experimented with the sorted sentence approach?

Hashiriya that is awesome news and I will greatly appreciate it. I'm just about to finish up book two of KO2001. I was really wanting to finish out the rest of the Joyo with their frequency order before I left for Japan so this will be perfect.

So Nukemarine, if I use your KO2001 deck on Smart.FM, should I do anything to help sort this? Now I'm a bit confused. Sorry! Going through KO2001 a couple days ago, I found myself in a wealth of words I've never seen before, and such. So I stopped to practice some sentences using the Smart.FM basic 2,000 sentences.
