A quick (and I guess a bit nooby) question about anki:
I want to use Anki at 2 computers, not at the same time. In which part/file(s) does Anki save my 'progress data', i.e. which cards are due etc? And I guess that if I switch computers, I can just copy, paste and overwrite this file in the Anki folder of the 'other' PC?

Thank you for the help. I tried to use the website and it seems handy.
I hoped that if you sync your PC deck with the online deck, the sync would always use the deck with the newest date. This however does not seem the case, it seems to me that the PC deck is always copied to the online deck, meaning that if I switch PC's and turn on my 'old Anki' version, it will sync and copy my old data on the online deck, which is of course undesirable.
Am I wrong? If not, what would be the best solution?

I set up anki+dropbox, as you (bombpersons) outlined in the RTK-Wiki. However I ran into a problem:
Synching would crash the deck (Something about being read-only). I fixed that by using the custom-media dir plugin, so that the deck is outside of the dropbox, while the media is inside.
I would prefere to have the .anki -file also in the dropbox. Do you know how to change the permissions/whatever else one has to do to get it to work?

Ok, so I guess it does not have a trivial solution in Windows. Maybe you can extend the wiki-entry, so the Windows users won't run into the error? (I do not have any experience editing wikis)

Also if you're using dropbox be careful never to have two instances running at once. Data corruption has been reported before. Online syncing is always the best option for the .anki file.
