Google Wave Invites

#26
I don't understand what Google Wave is. (The use of the words 'collaborative' and 'internet' together causes my brain to malfunction.) Is it like Google uh, that thing you people were using for those chart thingies that had sentences in them?

It's sort of like an evolution of email, email is good for one to one communication, not so much for group conversation, wave tries to solve this problem with collaborative "live documents". You really need to use it to see what it's about.

or, just see the video. it will clear any doubts.

this next one is the full developer preview. in my opinion, worth watching the full 80 minutes.
http://wave.google.com/help/wave/about.html#video

and a 5 minute explanation on some features

but you do need some like minded-people to use wave, and collaborate in stuff. without people, Wave is like having a great phone, but no one to call to.

ok, I am waving, and contributing to some public waves regarding Tokyo. It is fun, while there are still several small bugs to be kinked out, like the integration with Google Maps, for example. But it is really an interesting experience.

Are there any public waves regarding this forum or RTK that I could join? I have done a search for public waves on this, and I didn`t find anything.

in the search bar put "with:public Kanji Koohii" and you should find it.

To everyone who got invited recently, do you have any invites? There is a wave in your inbox called "Invite others to Google Wave". It'll tell you how many invites you have and there is a little form where you can invite people.

If you invite anyone here, please post confirming that you have done so, so that we don't accidentally send multiple invites to one person.

Nope, no invites available for me. I actually went to confirm at the help forum of Google Wave and they explicitly say that not everyone who received an invite will be allowed to invite others. That possibility will only appear when google decides to expand the number of users, at which point they will inform each user that they can now invite people.

Thanks for the invite. I like immediately the concept of Wave, so it'll be interesting to see how far this will go.

Now, since the search didn't reveal any waves with 'kanji' or 'koohii' then I assume we have to be invited to those waves to see them.

Looking forward to cool things with this.

The wave is getting interesting really excited to see how crazy it gets once it's faster., I'm currently working on a stroke order robot, which is close to working, for some reason I can't get on Yamasa institute website.
